And the only reason you're hearing from me now is my timely discovery of a strangely strong unlocked wireless signal coming from an unknown location in my neighborhood. Thank you, d-link. (unless you're phishing all my info right now, then: *fist shake d-link!!!!*
I tried blogging from my smart phone on the one and only 3G. It was mildly successful. Very mild.
I've also been writing the semester midterm reviews for the students I supervise and for some reason those evaluations take me FOR. EV. ER. to finish. So all my free evening time has been spent in that capacity, barely leaving me enough time to stay caught up with my google reader (the way I stalk all the blogs I love). I've had lots of reading to stay up on as seems that most of my friends have not had their internet shut off as they are blogging away happily. And so, I haven't been blogging.
Then yesterday. It got even worse.
This baby woke up in the middle of the night crying. And with a massive fever. It came on very suddenly.
And then she spent all day crying. She was so incredibly miserable and pitiful. Poor little baby.
We went to the doctor. She cried. They tested her positive for Influenza A. And let me know there was nothing I could do but wait it out. And that it would probably last 4-5 days.
I think she'd like to spend the day lying down, but her only context for this is me holding her, so here is what my house looks like. This is only one counter...and things are literally PILED up on there. Yeah, because the dishwasher is full of clean dishes.
I finally created a solution using pillows and the baby Einstein dvd to enable me to take care of the OTHER amazing little baby.
Who, by the way, feels great and is happy(thank goodness). She tries to play with the sick baby and cheer her up. But that sick baby just cries even more!
And I think she got a little bored, I mean, for the first time ever, she has no one to play with! So, she explored a lot of new drawers. (which doesn''t help my house disaster)
So, I haven't been blogging this week. Now you know the story.
When you're desperate pretty much anything can be a blog post. This works out well.
oh no. praying for all of your health (and sanity!).
