Introducing: our daughters

...and, we're BACK! Hoping no one noticed that it's already been a month since our last post. But don't worry, probably nothing important has developed, you know like baby body parts. And there's probably very little chance that you're going to be interested in seeing blurry obscure pictures of those little parts, but just in case...

Our 17th week check in with the doctor was a happy one. My health looked fine and the babies were growing a little ahead of schedule, measuring 17 weeks and 3 days. Here are photos of some hands and feet and (sort of creepy) faces:

This first one is baby "b" with two little knees and feet and the top of a head...
Then we have baby "b"'s little arm and head...

And this is baby "b" again with her face and tummy looking right at us! woah!

And here is baby "a" with her arm up above her head...

We told the ultrasound tech that we wanted her to write down her guess at genders and seal it up for us to open later. After the exam, she left the room and came back with a little envelope bearing the word "SECRET". About an hour later, we nestled in at a local cupcake shoppe (Lovely Confections, yum!) and got our first glimpse into the future of our family. This is what we found inside:

The tech has written her gender guess in the top left corner (GIRL!!!?) and placed a handy little arrow at that perfect spot nestled between two legs.

Here is the second little photo...again with the inscription GIRL!!!!? and the more easily recognizable legs and that cute little tush.

Matt and I sat beaming over cupcakes, slightly amazed and very happy.

And so, it is with much honor that we introduce to you (what we think are) Bellina Jane and Charlotte Elizabeth. I hope they don't mind I posted their little hoo-haas for the world to see...
